Career courses offered

Professional development short courses and management certificates offered by Extended Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno provide University-quality educational opportunities to build your career and skills in a wide range of management and business topics, to keep on the leading edge of the latest trends and industry-specific issues, and to hone existing talents for career advancement.

The noncredit courses are open to all adults, may be taken independently and require no formal admission to the University. Most courses are offered at the University’s Redfield Campus, 18600 Wedge Parkway in south Reno unless noted otherwise.

Select courses have been approved for HR or business credit hours toward PHR, SPHR or GPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). Extended Studies at the University is also recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) to offer professional development credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM credential.
