Chuck Scharer, president and chief executive officer of Edgewood Companies, has announced his retirement.
John McLaughlin, who currently serves as chief financial officer, will serve as acting president and CEO.
Scharer has served on the board of directors of Edgewood Companies since November, 2008 and was named president and chief Executive officer in June of 2010.
