Dr. Dean McKay, CEO of Cirrus Systems in Sparks, was awarded the 2015 Silver Thistle Award as “Scot of the Year” by the Nevada Society of Scottish Clans.
Dr. McKay was recognized at last month’s annual Robert Burns Celebration at the Grand Sierra Resort. The award is presented each year to a local citizen of Scottish descent who has made outstanding contributions to northern Nevada, whether in business, education, medicine, fine arts or philanthropy.
