Gryphon Gold Corp. of Reno, operator of the Borealis gold mine southwest of Hawthorne, has filed a voluntary Chapter 11 petition in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Reno.
The company says some shareholders of the company filed a civil complaint that asks a court to appoint a receiver to oversee its affairs.
