Meghan Collins has been named as the first-ever STEM education assistant research scientist at the Desert Research Institute.

Collins more recently taught environmental science and geography courses at Truckee Meadows Community College. She also worked as a commercial fishing deckhand in Alaska, and served as an advisor for the New Zealand Ministry for the Environment.

Collins earned her master’s of science degree from Victoria University of Wellington and her bachelor’s of science degree from McGill University.
