Mr. G’s Hawaii-Style Teriyaki of Reno won second place in the Asian marinade category of the National Barbecue Association’s Awards of Excellence. The company was recognized for its spicy apple ginger teriyaki.
The company owned by George Kapahee also took fourth-place honors for its spicy garlic teriyaki and a fourth-place award for its plum and pineapple sauce in the barbecue marinade competition.
