The Reno/Tahoe Chapter of the National Association for Catering Events awarded top industry honors to local community professionals at its annual gala at the Nevada Museum of Art.
Those honored were: Karen Burns of Karen Burns Events, (Member of the Year); Whitney and Josh Deri of Blend Catering, (Caterer of the Year); Felicia Gantar, Felicia Events, (Planner of the Year); Samantha Olson, Creative Coverings, (Meeting Sponsor of the Year); and Alice Heiman for her presentation “Biz Talk Blender” at Tannenbaum Event Center with Julie Nobis, (Education Program of the Year.)
The Rising Star award went to Kelly Somers with Red Hawk Golf Resort and the President’s Award went to Manuel Martinez with Camelot Party Rentals.
Kate Patay of Reno and current NACE national secretary/treasurer, was given the Pacesetter Award from the Convention Industry Council this past month in Las Vegas.
