Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Chris Gilbert have joined the front office staff of the Reno Bighorns basketball club, an affiliate of the Sacramento Kings.
Abdur-Rahim was named general manager.
He is entering his fourth season in the Sacramento Kings front office, previously serving the last three years as assistant general manager. Abdur-Rahim also was an assistant coach specializing in player development for the Kings in 2009-10 season. He played 12 seasons in the NBA.
Gilbert was named Bighorns’ assistant general manager.
He is entering his first season as the Kings basketball operations coordinator.
Gilbert previously spent eight seasons with the Golden State Warriors in a variety of capacities.
