No to Vintage: Keep Kings Canyon quiet and open
I have resided in Carson City for the better part of 53 years. In 2002, I purchased a home up Kings Canyon road and I love it here. Each time I drive up Kings Canyon I look over to the open spaces and am reminded of why I live where I do.
The thought of such a commercial development that Vintage proposes and all it would entail saddens me greatly. If the property owned by the Andersens is to be sold, why not to a developer who would build individual lovely homes much like the ones in the surrounding area and not a conglomerate of homes and independent living/assisted living structures ... and all that implies?
It is my hope that by working together we can keep Kings Canyon and the upper west side as quiet and open as it is today and a place that we can continue to be proud of.
