The Man in the Moon’s to Blame

Silently he is drifting —

Silently he commands.

How to love, he’s advising,

For true love he understands.

If I steal a kiss,

Will you please remember this —

This man in the moon’s to blame!

If I can’t resist, then

To hold you I’ll insist —

The man in the moon’s to blame!

The man up above commands

That I love —

Please help me to carry on —

And this day that’s divine,

Should you become my Valentine —

The man in the moon’s to blame!
