What message is Trump’s dishonesty sending?

Elections have consequences — yes, they certainly do. And a major consequence of the 2016 election is that we now have a self-promoting “Commander-in-Chief” who almost daily shows he is incapable of telling the truth.

Whether you are a conservative or a liberal, how do you teach your children and grandchildren the importance of being truthful when the president daily demonstrates the opposite?

Is the lesson you want to live by that winning counts more than being honest? That one can get away with lies by silencing anyone pointing out the lies? And, personal ethics aside, what is the image of America to the rest of the world? Can the president’s word be trusted on anything other than promoting his own ego and businesses?

Yes, elections have consequences. So far they have not been very positive.
