An adult female died Wednesday afternoon when the motorcycle she was driving collided with a recreational vehicle at Washoe Lake, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened on Eastlake Boulevard about 5:30 p.m.
According to Bob Harmon, public information officer for the WCSO, the victim was traveling northbound on Eastlake Boulevard when she apparently failed to navigate a curve and hit head-on an RV that was traveling in the opposite direction.
The victim then hit the guardrail, was ejected over the guardrail and landed in the water. The exact cause of death is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
There was no injury to the RV’s occupants.
