Churchill County Commission, school board meet Wednesday

The Churchill County Commission will meet Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. at the commission chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Agenda items include the following:

Presentation of the Churchill County Library Expansion Needs Assessment Report.

Update of current activities, plans, or actions related to the Bureau of Land Management’s Carson City District.

Presentation by the Churchill Economic Development Authority regarding activities and the Strategic Plan.

Application for support from the Hero Club After School Program for $2,500 to be used for Churchill Area Regional Transportation (CART) tickets.

Application for support from the Epworth Food Pantry for $4,500 to purchase a commercial refrigerator for storing perishable commodities.

Application for support from LEAD On (formerly LEAD Green) for the Fourth Annual Leadership Summit for $2,500.

Approval of Resolution 291­2019 directing the Churchill County Assessor to take certain actions regarding the Secured Tax Roll for 2020­2021.

Approval of Lease Agreement with Rogne Realty for Provisional Assistance through the Housing Program for $850 from Dec. 1 through Nov. 30.

The Churchill County School Board meets Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Churchill County School District Administration Office, Old High School, 690 S. Maine St.

Agenda items include the following:

Churchill County High School Staff will report on their Project-Based Learning and advisory programs.

Keith Lund, Churchill County High School teacher, will present information to the board regarding potentially adding personal finance to the list of courses required for graduation.

Presentation regarding the status of an Efficiency Study Implementation Provider.
