Lyon County announced recently that Andrew Haskin was hired as Community Development Director. Haskin comes to Lyon County from the Northern Nevada Development Authority, where he worked for nearly 8 years, most recently as Director Of Business Development.
He is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno with an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing. “Andrew is no stranger to Lyon County and our Community Development operation,” county manager Jeff Page said in an Aug. 9 statement. “He has worked hand in hand with our operation in his role at NNDA. Andrew and his family will soon be Lyon County residents."
According to the statement, Lyon County has not had a Community Development Director for the past several years due to budget constraints.
