Each year, the Board of Directors for Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada recognizes individuals, businesses and private foundations for their support.

Donors are formally recognized during the Club’s Annual Youth of the Year event, which was being held virtually Feb. 13. This year’s Community Partner of the Year is Carson City-based Campagni Auto Group.

“We are so blessed to live in a community that cares about the youth we serve,” BGCWN CEO Katie Leao Geiser said in a news release. “Campagni Auto Group leadership understands that our youth need a safe, fun and educational place to go when they are not in school. Our partners are an important part of helping us create a place where parents receive the support they need to continue working and supporting their families, and a place that models productive citizenship to our next generation.”

Per the press release, owner Dick Campagni has supported the Boys & Girls Club for over two decades. Years ago, Campagni launched the “Campagni Matching Campaign” to encourage community donations, raising over $250,000 in operating funds for the club with the dollar-for-dollar matching program.

With his son, Jeff Campagni, taking the lead at the dealership, the Campagnis continue to be steadfast advocates for the Boys & Girls Club.

In 2020, Carson City Toyota invested over $30,000 in the Club to support costs that were incurred during the COVID Essential Childcare Program. Their investment gave the Club the ability to feed youth daily, provided upgraded tools to disinfect and clean the facility, and program supplies for all-day programs.

“We’re very fortunate to be able to help so many organizations in our community, including the Boys & Girls Club,” Jeff Campagni said in a statement. “The Club holds a special spot in my father’s heart — as a former board member and ex schoolteacher, he knows how important it is to help kids reach their full potential.”
