People: Reno attorney Rew R. Goodenow gets 'Super Lawyer' nod

Parsons Behle & Latimer attorney Rew R. Goodenow was recently named a “Super Lawyer” in the 2021 issue of Mountain States Super Lawyers, in the practice area of Business/Corporate.


Goodenow, Parsons Behle & Latimer's Reno managing shareholder, has repeatedly been recognized by the publication, according to a July 13 statement from the law firm.


Goodenow, a former president of the State Bar of Nevada and of the National Conference of Bar Presidents, has for several years served on Parsons Behle & Latimer's board of directors.


Currently, Goodenow serves, among other positions, as general counsel to the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Nevada and as a member of the Board of Governors of the American Bar Association. He also currently serves on the Board of Visitors of the National Judicial College. He earned his J.D. from the University of Iowa Law School.


Ashley C. Nikkel

 

Super Lawyers also designated Ashley C. Nikkel of Parsons Behle & Latimer's Reno office as a “Rising Star” in the area of business litigation.

Nikkel previously clerked for Judge Janet J. Berry at the Second Judicial District Court, and the Mark Gibbons at the Nevada Supreme Court. A native of the Reno-Tahoe area, Nikkel earned her J.D. from the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law.


Super Lawyers 
selects nominees from a peer-nominated, national list of more than 200,000 attorneys. Nominations undergo an evaluation process by a highly credentialed panel of attorneys. Only 5% of those nominated achieve “Super Lawyer” status.

In all, Super Lawyers recognized 26 attorneys in Parsons Behle & Latimer’s six offices throughout the intermountain west.
