Carson City-based Mission Senior Living (MSL) announced April 19 the appointment of Laura Higman as designated manager at Fernley Estates Senior Living and Memory Care, MSL’s assisted living and memory care community located at 1130 Chisholm Trail in Fernley. Higman is a former quality assurance director and director of culinary services at Atria Senior Living and is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer, according to an April 19 press release.
She earned a degree from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale, Ariz., and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. Also on April 19, MSL announced that Rand Rasmussen was appointed designated manager at Mesa Valley Estates Senior Living and Memory Care in Mesquite.
