David Brokaski was recently named Chief Financial Officer of the nonprofit Community Foundation of Northern Nevada. Brokaski is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Nevada and is a member of the Nevada Society of CPAs, according to an April 26 press release. Before joining the Community Foundation, he worked in public accounting and internal audit roles before transitioning to Controller and CFO positions at various healthcare, service and nonprofit entities, gaining valuable knowledge of accounting and auditing for a variety of businesses, including nonprofits. Brokaski majored in accounting, earning a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and dual MBA/MPH degrees from UCLA. He has lived in Reno since 2004.
