People: Kyle Snyder promoted to VP role at Reno's Ormat Technologies

Kiley Moore brought on as Director of Business Development-Geothermal Origination

Ormat Technologies Inc., a Reno-based renewable energy developer and supplier, announced recently the promotion of Kyle Snyder to Vice President of Business Development-Energy Storage and the addition of Kiley Moore as Director of Business Development-Geothermal Origination.


Snyder has over 13 years of renewable energy development experience with Ormat, where he managed the permitting, interconnection, transmission and origination teams to support the development of Ormat’s geothermal projects, according to an Aug. 23 press release.

In his new role, Snyder leads the energy storage business development team, which focuses on originating and developing Ormat’s extensive pipeline of projects in various markets. Prior to this role, he was the Senior Director of Business Development for Ormat.

Snyder received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno.


With Snyder’s promotion, Moore has been hired to manage Ormat’s robust pipeline of geothermal projects, including securing interconnection, transmission service and power purchase agreements. 
She brings more than 15 years of experience in the utility industry.

Throughout her career, she managed transmission development and asset management, negotiated complex contracts with customers for interconnection, established the first incremental transmission service rate used for a Network Customer filed at FERC, and managed regulatory compliance.


Moore has a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Supply Chain Management and Marketing and has her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno.
