Western Nevada Development Districts Executive Director Sheryl Gonzales has announced her retirement effective June 30.
Gonzales joined the organization in 2013 as project manager and has served in the capacity of executive director since 2020. She has worked in a variety of communities serving as leader for government agencies, businesses, and non-profit organizations, advancing their mission and goals to support and grow strong and healthy communities. She also served for six years as Genoa town manager.
Prior, Gonzales was the president of PDG & Associates, providing planning services for nonprofit and governmental agencies with multi-disciplinary teams.
WNDD’s mission is to support, promote and advance an environment in which communities can attract, retain, and expand business through regional collaboration and partnerships.
