A new, brighter, friendlier, more conveniently located, and well-stocked Grocery Outlet officially opened on February 4 in East Carson City.

As the dignitaries assembled to conduct a formal ribbon cutting event coordinated by the Carson City Chamber of Commerce, the store was already packed with shoppers.

Owned by the father/daughter team of Mike Blewett and Bobbie Johnson, the bright new store is located in the Plaza 50 Shopping Center that once was home to another home-town grocery store, Scolari’s.
