Nevada Job Connect is offering three Occupational Safety and Health Administration classes this month for those in the construction or general industry.
The OSHA classes are free and offered online. But those interested must pre-register because space is limited.
Introduction to OSHA familiarizes students with the OSHA Act. The four-hour class is Thursday, March 3 from 9 a.m. to noon.
OSHA 30 construction is for people who work in a supervisory role on a construction site. It is a five-day class beginning Monday, March 7 and runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. students who complete the class receive a certificate.
Finally, OSHA 10 Construction is for people who work on a construction site. It runs two days, March 23-24, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and also results in a certification.
Anyone interested should register at EmployNV.gov and contact Vickie Tippitt at 702-486-0129.
The website also includes a database of jobs for people to register and find a job.
