People: Carl Stanfield named administrator of DETR’s Information Development and Processing Division

 The Nevada’s Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) announced the appointment of Carl Stanfield as administrator of DETR’s Information Development and Processing Division. Stanfield is based in Carson City.

Stanfield brings in total, more than 35 years of experience across a broad range of technological areas: 15 years developing and managing technology implementations in the public sector in both education and public safety and 20 years in managing the development and growth of manufacturing and distribution.


Outside of work Stanfield enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending his local church, as well as anything motorsports. He graduated from Capella University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology and earned several industry specific certifications with Microsoft and CompTia.


The Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) is the state’s lead workforce development agency. It consists of divisions that offer workforce related services, job placement and training, services for people with disabilities, investigation of claims of discrimination, unemployment insurance benefits, and labor market data. Many of these services are provided through Nevada JobConnect career centers and in cooperation with its community partners.
