Reno Ice announced Jackson Baughman has been named hockey director.

Baughman will take over the position, as Mike Harder, previous hockey director of Reno Ice, leaves for a position as head hockey coach at Colgate University.

Since November 2021, Baughman has served as assistant hockey director of Reno Ice, contributing to the operation of the program that caters to more than 600 players.

In this role, Baughman has been instrumental in building and maintaining relationships with athletes, ensuring their growth and development on and off the ice.

In the 2022-23 season, Baughman took on the role of travel hockey coach, leading the 12 and under team consisting of 15 talented players.

Under his guidance, the team achieved a second-place finish in Northern California. Baughman was invited to serve as a coach at the Western Regional High-Performance Camp, organized by USA Hockey in June 2022.

Throughout the six-day camp, Baughman facilitated team-building drills, practice sessions, games, and video analysis.
