Maciel’s duties include overseeing the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City and the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
She will also manage the department’s Veterans Advocacy Support Team, which is comprised of statewide veteran’s service officers as well as the Nevada Veterans Advocate program. Additionally, she will supervise the outreach team and unique veteran population programs.
