State to hold series of job fairs in Carson City

The Nevada Division of Human Resource Management will hold hiring fairs at the Nevada State Library & Archive building in Carson City on Sept. 28, Oct. 11, 21, 24, and Nov. 2, according to a news release from the Nevada Department of Administration.

Departments may conduct same-day interviews and job offers for some positions. The fairs are scheduled to run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The building is at 100 N. Stewart St.

State agencies will be seeking candidates for job openings and sharing information about working for the state, including the state’s benefits package that includes paid vacation and sick leave, 12 paid state holidays, public employees’ retirement, and health insurance.

Anyone interested in learning more about pursuing a career with the state is encouraged to attend with resumes in hand, and those with U.S. military service and their spouses will be offered additional information on available resources.

Job seekers who would like information can contact Jon Terrazas at J.Terrazas@admin.nv.gov.
