People: Eaton Dunkelberger joins Downtown Reno Partnership board of directors

The Downtown Reno Partnership has announced the addition of Eaton Dunkelberger to their board of directors. Dunkelberger joins the 17-member volunteer board as the non-profit seat.

Dunkelberger is the president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada. He is also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served as served as an infantry platoon commander in Iraq in 2003. 

Dunkelberger earned a Master of Business Administration at London Business School, Bachelor of Science in biology from Stanford University, and was a researcher at the Brookings Institute.  Dunkelberger serves as the volunteer lead for the ski program at Sky Tavern.

Prior to serving in his current role, Dunkelberger was the CEO of Sierra Nevada Journeys, a member of the leadership team for a healthcare IT startup incubated by McKesson Corp., and started two businesses in Kabul, providing outsourced recruiting for companies like Coca Cola Bottling and Serena Hotels and government agencies such as the U.N. and U.S. military to implement successful Afghan hiring programs.
