Obituary: Billy "Izzy" Isbell

A memorial service for Billy "Izzy" Isbell, 70, a Northern Nevada resident for 22 years, will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at FitzHenry's.

Mr. Isbell died Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, at his home in Carson City. He was born Sept. 12, 1930, to William and Dovey Hall Isbell in Abilene, Texas.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and lived in Hawaii before moving the Nevada in 1988.

He worked as a dealer at the Carson Valley Inn Casino from 1989-98.

Among his survivors are his companion, Rose Di Marzo of Carson City; sons Donald of Elk Grove, Calif., and Bryan of Reno and three grandchildren.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

A memorial fund is being established with Vista Care Hospice, 5190 Neil Road, Reno, NV 89502.
