Carson woman reportedly admits to burglaries

A Carson City woman reportedly admitted taking part in five burglaries in Carson City and Reno when deputies found a cache of stolen property at her residence.

Joreen Annette George, 33, was found in possession of property belonging to several victims of burglaries and a purse theft. The property consisted chiefly of stolen credit cards and pieces of identification.

Deputies went to her home in the 800 block of Paul Street in Gardnerville to serve a Carson City warrant for suspicion of burglary. They were given consent to search the home and reportedly found the cards and papers inside a bedroom.

George was arrested on five felony stolen property charges and felony use of false identification. She indicated that two men, one of which was her husband, were also involved in the crimes.

She was held on $50,000 bail.
