Diamond Peak ski resort opening

Diamond Peak ski resort in Incline Village will open this Thursday Dec. 16 with a special benefit for the skier or snowboarder and for children.

Just bring a $10 gift and under the "Give a Gift, Get a Lift" program visitors will be able to buy a lift ticket for $10.

The toy or article gift is to be new and unwrapped and have a value of $10, with a receipt or price tag attached.

The gift will go to the Children's Cabinet Adopt-a-Family program to brighten the holidays for a needy child.

Diamond Peak has been making snow and anticipates that several ski runs and lifts will be open. After Dec. 16 Diamond Peak will continue to operate at discounted rates until the resort is fully opened. Call (775) 832-1177.
