Former Carsonite formally charged with murder

FAIRFIELD, Calif. - A 22-year-old Fairfield man accused of shooting his mother and stepfather, a former Carson resident, has been formally charged with their murders in a Solano County court.

Frederick Thiecke is accused of shooting his mother and stepfather, Libby Allison Green and Dennis Keith Green, on March 5 in their Vacaville apartment.

Dennis Green resided in Carson City until about 10 years ago and operated a construction business.

The U.S. Marshals Service returned Thiecke to Solano County over the weekend from Atlanta, where he had fled after the shootings.

It was the first court appearance for Thiecke since he was extradited from Georgia.

Vacaville police believe Thiecke got into a fight with his parents following an argument regarding his repossessed car, an older Honda CRX.

The couple, who had recently married, were both shot in the head in their apartment shortly before dawn.

On April 28, members of the Atlanta Police Department's fugitive squad and FBI special agents arrested Thiecke after receiving a tip in response to a televised segment about Thiecke on ''America's Most Wanted.''

Thiecke did not enter a plea at the Monday hearing. He is expected back in court on today.
