Obituary: Charlene Lynn Hill

A funeral for Charlene Lynn Hill, 36, a Nixon resident for the past eight months, will be at 10 a.m. today at the Nixon Gymnasium.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Ross, Burke & Knobel Mortuary in Reno.

Mrs. Hill died June 18, 2000 in Nixon. She was born May 14, 1964, in Schurz, to Gordon Harold and Alvaretta Tobey Davis.

She graduated from Carson High School.

Before moving to Nixon, she lived in Fernley for two years.

Mrs. Hill was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Michelle Lyn Shiflett.

Among her survivors are her husband Preston III of Nixon; daughter Alvaretta Monoe Hill; brothers, Daniel Glauner of Seattle, Wash., David Glauner of Kansas City, Mo., Dale Glauner of Carson City, Mike Davis of Nixon, Ralph Pease of Illinois, Merlin Pease of Texas, Dane Glauner and Darin Glauner, both of Carson City; Michael Huntsburger of Reno and Allen Primeau, Edward Dick and Josh Davis, all of Nixon; sisters, Cindy Laxalt of Dayton, Melody Moose of Lovelock and Jenny Johnson of Sparks.

Burial will be at the Nixon Cemetery.

Ross, Burke and Knobel Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
