Obituary: Farreld "Sonny" Franklin Guiler

An inurnment for Farreld "Sonny" Franklin Guiler, 52, a Carson City resident for the past 15 years, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.

Mr. Guiler died June 13, 2000 in the V.A. Hospital. He was born Aug. 24, 1947, in Zanesville, Ohio, to Kermit and Marie Rupple Guiler.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Ramona, Calif.

Mr. Guiler was the owner of Custom Knives by Sonny. He was a member of the Sparks Community Church.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1970.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Among his survivors are his wife Janice L. Veys of Carson City; son, Garrett and daughters Farranne, Ashley and Cassandra, all of Spokane, Wash., and brother Robert Patrick and sisters Dorsella Embree, Kathy Stemm and Sharon Stemm all of Zanesville, Ohio.

Cremation will be at Sierra Crematory.

O'Brien-Rogers & Crosby is in charge of arrangements.
