Francis W. 'Bill' Potts

A celebration of life for Francis W. "Bill" Potts, 69, a Pukalani, Hawaii, resident for the past 10 years, will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Carson City Elks Lodge, 515 N. Nevada St.

Mr. Potts died Sept. 28, 2005, at home in Hawaii.

He was born May 21, 1936, in Zanesville, Ohio.

Before moving to Hawaii, he lived in Carson City.

Mr. Potts was an active business owner in the liquor industry in Carson City. He owned the K-Bar for many years, as well as a carpet store. He was a property manager for Donrey Publishing.

He was an active member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, E Clampus Vitus, the Masons and several business organizations.

Among his survivors are his wife, Norma Jean Potts; stepson, Michael Galloway; sisters Bonnie Spencer and Sandy Humppi; brother, Larry Potts; and one grandson.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
