Obituary: Phyllis Doshier

A memorial service for Phyllis Viola Doshier, 75, of Silver Springs, will be conducted at a later date. Mrs. Doshier died in the Veteran's Hospital in Reno on Jan. 13, 2000.

She was born in Mason City, Iowa, on Oct. 12, 1924, to John Lee and Alta Ethel Smith Ashley.

She graduated from Nashua Iowa HIgh School in 1942.

She worked as a nurses aide for 25 years and retired in 1982 due to health reasons. She was a member of the Catholic religion. She served in the U.S. Navy in the Medical Corps during World War II.

She moved to the area 12 years ago.

She is survived by her daughter, Jolene Eddings and son Michael Adams, both of Silver Springs; a brother, Maynord Ashley of South Holland, Ill.; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Truckee Meadows Crematory, and Reno Memorial Cremation and Burial Society.
