Obituary: Thomas Stewart

Burial for Thomas W. Stewart, 75, a Carson City resident for the past 13 years, will be 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at Riverside Nation Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, Calif.

Mr. Stewart died Dec. 5, 1999, at his residence.

Cremation was under the direction of Northern Nevada Crematory and Burial Society of Reno.

Mr. Stewart was born July 15, 1924 in Lincoln, Neb., to Lloyd J. and Sybil M. Butler Stewart. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harley Stewart and sister, Lorraine Boggs.

Prior to living in Carson City, he resided in San Carlos, Calif.

He married Fern M. Harrisson on Feb. 17, 1947 in Yuma, Ariz.

Mr. Stewart was in the restaurant business - he managed and owned and operated his own restaurant, Stewart's Busy Apron, in Anaheim, Calif.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-46 during World War II.

Among his survivors are his wife, Fern, of Carson City; sons, Gary T., of Anaheim, and Curtis Lee, of Dayton; daughter, Sandra D., of Roseville, Calif.; sisters, Jackie Stratman, of Southern California, and Darlene Stone, of Redding, Calif.; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
