Wells Fargo donates to Adoption Program

Wells Fargo Bank Nevada donated $10,000 to the Nevada Special Needs Adoption Program as a result of a statewide checking campaign held last summer.

The checking promotion, conducted with Wendy's restaurants, included a $1 donation to the Nevada Special Needs Adoption Program for each new checking account opened during the campaign.

Laura Schulte, president and CEO, of the bank, said, "Wells Fargo Bank Nevada is pleased to be able to make a difference in the lives of Nevada's special needs adoptive children. We strongly believe in the importance of a positive childhood experience and will continue to support Nevada's youth."

The $10,000 donation was presented to Governor Guinn and Liz Brashears of the Division of Child and Family Services by Linda Moore, president of Reno/Sparks Community Banking and Bill Ferguson, president of Greater Nevada Community Banking for Wells Fargo. DCFS plans to utilize the donation to help place special needs children with adoptive parents in a permanent home.
