Obituary Stephen P. Providenti

Funeral services for Stephen P. Providenti, 87, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.

Mr. Providenti was born June 29, 1914 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He died Feb. 8, 2002 in Carson City.

He lived in Brooklyn for 65 years, coming to Carson City in 1979.

Mr. Providenti is a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II.

He was a Catholic.

He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Jr.

His survivors include his wife, Doris L. of Carson City; a daughter Maryann Egan of Florida; step-sons William Schultz and Michael Darragh and wife Paula all of Carson City; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Inurnment will be in Brooklyn.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
