Obituary: Dorothy Mae Pinckard

Dorothy Mae Pinckard, 84, a Milan, Mo., resident, died there Dec. 10, 2002, in a health-care facility. She was born July 14, 1918, near Pollock, Mo., to Gilbert and Roxie McDonald Reger.

She married Clifford Carlson, a Nevada state senator. She later married Thomas Pinckard.

She lived most of her adult life in Carson Citym where she worked at a Chinese restaurant for several years. She loved to paint. She was baptized into St. Teresa's Catholic Church March 4, 1964.

Mrs. Pinckard was preceded in death by brothers John, George and Gilbert Reger and sisters Merle Reger, Olive Rockhold, Evelyn Long, Florence Coffman, Marjorie May and Mary Opal Reger.

Among her survivors are her son, Cliff Carlson of Silver Springs; sisters Anna Van Wye, Gloria Leeper and Ruth Sayre, all of Milan; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside committal service will be at a later date in the Elmwood Cemetery north of Milan.

Glenn E. Kent & Son Funeral Home in Milan is in charge of arrangements.
