A memorial service for Mildred L. Frey, 77, a Gardnerville resident for the past 14 years, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville.
Mrs. Frey died Jan. 27, 2003, at Evergreen Health Care Center. She was born Oct. 21, 1925, in Connecticut, to Russell L. and Josephine G. Curran Rogers.
She married Walter J. Frey in Hayward, Calif., May 31, 1964.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in Pacific Grove, Calif.
Mrs. Frey was a nurse at Eden Hospital in Castro Valley, Calif., and at Ava Maria Hospital in Monterey, Calif. She enjoyed reading, golf and animals. She was a member of St. Gall Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her brother, David Rogers, and her sister, Thelma Anderson.
Among her survivors are: husband Walley and son Tim Brennan, both of Gardnerville; stepson Randy Frey of Pacific Grove; brother Russell Rogers of Connecticut; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
