A celebration of life for Erna A. Smith, 85, a Minden resident for the past eight years, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Carson Valley Christian Center.
Mrs. Smith died Oct. 17, 2004, in Minden. She was born April 10, 1919, in Young America, Minn., to Albert and Anna Schwarskoph.
She attended school in Young America.
She married James Smith in Carson City. He preceded her in death.
Before moving to Minden, she lived in San Rafael, Calif.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker. She was a member of Carson Valley Christian Church and Esther Chapter 3, O.E.S.
Among her survivors are her son, Mark Fosket of Mountain View, Calif.; daughters Diane Simpson of Minden and Marlys Silva of Reno; sister, Marlys Ketcher; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice in Reno.
