Ann Schleifer

A memorial service for Ann Schleifer, 87, a Carson City resident for the past 17 years, was Wednesday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.

Mrs. Schleifer died Sept. 19, 2004, in Carson City.

She was born July 24, 1917, in Charlotte, Texas, to William and Nina Fortson Johnson.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Monterey, Calif.

Mrs. Schleifer worked at Pebble Beach Lodge on Seventeen Mile Drive in Monterey for many years. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Among her survivors are her life-long friend Donald Brown of Carson City and daughters Gayle Mason of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Sandra Gaither of Visalia, Calif.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
