Memorial services for six-year Minden resident Norma Arobio, 84, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace St. Francis Community Church, at Eighth and Cornell streets in Lovelock. Visitation will be from 10-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Arobio died Aug. 12, 2005, in Carson City. She was born March 12, 1921, in Lovelock to Irvin and Cecila Hanson.
She married Victor F. Arobio on March 2, 1947, in Lovelock.
Mrs. Arobio lived in Lovelock for most of her life before coming to Minden .
Mrs. Arobio graduated from Pershing County High School and attended one year of business school in Sacramento.
She worked as a bookkeeper and as a homemaker.
She was a member of the Lovelock Methodist Church and various service and community organizations.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sister Ruth Bonham; nephew Floyd I. Marcucci; niece Teresa Ann Marcucci and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Among her survivors are her children Kathryn Garcia of Minden, John V. of Sparks and Edward L. of Fairbanks, Alaska; sister Irva A. Marcucci of Lovelock; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will be at Big Meadows Cemetery.
