Janet Tewhill, Neil Dickman

Janet Tewhill has been promoted to senior vice president and chief operating officer of Reno-based Alere Medical.

She previously was vice president of client services for the company.

Neil Dickman, meanwhile, joined the company as vice president of sales and client services.

Tewhill, a registered nurse with more than 20 years of experience, has a master's degree in health care administration from the University of Minnesota.

Dickman was most recently vice president of strategic initiatives for United Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of United Healthcare.He also has worked as chief executive officer of a managed care company.

A licensed psychologist, he holds a doctorate in clinical psychology.

Alere Medical provides remote monitoring services for medical patients.
