Economic survey nears 1,000 responses

A survey that's one of the key elements of a plan for the economic future of the Truckee Meadows has drawn nearly 1,000 responses.

Representatives of the Economic Development Authority ofWestern Nevada said last week the survey has drawn responses from 202 businesses and 705 residents.

"We're pleased with the response so far since it shows that the entire community is interested in shaping northern Nevada's future economic growth and quality of life," said Julie Ardito, a spokeswoman for EDAWN.

The survey, which is found at www.Target2010.org, concludes on Jan 31.

Results will be incorporated into a plan for the region's future to be developed by EDAWN and its consulting firm,AngelouEcoomics of Austin, Texas.
