A hands-on career fair for women interested in working in the the construction trades is scheduled March 10 at the TMCC/IGT Applied Technology Center at 475 Edison Way in Reno.
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and includes a free lunch. It's presented by the Western Apprenticeship Coordinators Association in conjunction with City of Reno, Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada, Nevada JobConnect, JOIN, Inc., Sierra Nevada Job Corps, Sierra Pacific Power Co. and Truckee Meadows Community College.
Attendees are asked to dress in pants, no heels and very little jewelry.
