First Kokopelli location in state opens in Reno

The first franchised location of Kokopelli Fresh Mexican Grill in Nevada has opened at 555 S. Virginia.

Great American Food Chain Inc., the Dallas company that's franchising the restaurants, says the downtown Reno location will provide good sales data about the chain's ability to draw from neighborhood residents, tourists and businesspeople.

The company plans to open 12 stores in Nevada.
