Greg Krause, executive director of the Regional Transportation Commission, has been elected 2008 chair of United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra.
Other officers include Kim Mazeres, director of customer care for the Truckee Meadows Water Authority, as vice chair; Mike Smart, Reno region executive for Sierra Pacific Power Company, as treasurer; and Ann Campbell, center manager for JC Penney Logistics Center, as secretary. Larry Harvey, executive vice president of John Ascuaga's Nugget, is immediate past chair.
New board members include Mitch Cohen, district manager for U.S. Bank; Bonnie Drinkwater, owner of Drinkwater Law Offices; Paul Dugan, superintendent of the Washoe County School District; Gena Jones, assistant vice president of human resources for the University of Nevada, Reno; and Tim Ruffin, senior vice president and managing partner of Colliers International.
