Team assembled for tribal work

The Fallon Tribal Development Corporation has selected Dube Group Architects of Reno as the architectural firm and Lumos and Associates as the civil engineering firm for the tribe's proposed Fox Peak Station II development in Fernley.

Lance Shumway, economic development assistant director for the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe, says the tribal development corporation still seeks a contractor to round out its development team.

The tribe proposes a 6,000 square foot gas station, convenience store and smoke shop at the corners of U.S. 50 and Nevada Pacific Parkway. Shumway says conceptual work has already begun, and that the tribe hopes to begin site work as soon as a contractor is selected.

"We hope to break ground by the middle of June or July, that is our goal," Shumway says. "We would love to be completed by the end of 2008 or beginning of 2009, but we do realize a lot of that is dependent on the team we put together."
