Sierra Green Building Association has created a chapter in Reno in conjunction with greenUP!, a promotional campaign headed by the governments of Reno, Sparks, Washoe County, the Nevada Small Business Development Center, the UNR Business Environmental Program, UNR Academy for the Environment, and a number of public and private organizations.
Andrew Goodrich, chairman of greenUP and director of the air quality management division of Washoe County District Health, said organizers hope to encourage sustainable and green practices among businesses in the region.
